A request, Peter. I'm having a hard time wrapping my head around the separate voice on the right. Is is possible to create another mix that has both vocals near the center, as if they'd be standing next to or close to each other? Thanks! Love what you can do!

"65th Anniversary Remix"

This is a very interesting choice. It was believed to be the first recording to contain a double track vocal. I eventually thought it may have been recorded on a two track machine, which would have been a luxury for 1950, because when I heard it on one of the CDs on the Eric label who specialize usually in mono to stereos, with this track, her overdubbed second vocal layer comes out of one channel, while the rest including her first layer comes out the other channel. But on which CD does it contain the studio chatter at the beginning? She previously recorded duets with then-labelmates Frankie Laine and cowboy singer Rex Allen.

One of the better songs by Bobby Rydell who passed about two years ago, but was usually just so-so, I have it on his CD on the U.S. ABKCO label. A great stereo mix. But like so many of his contemporaries, his career got completely washed away by the British Invasion that followed it. He then moved to the Capitol label and started recording in a more mature style. But his hits by then dried up. Little Bitty Girl was one of his other early ones that stood out above most of his, as the song itself stood out.

Fred is the perfect likeness of Dick Clark and this appeared on his tv show American Bandstand when I was 9 ('59) . I and some other kids watched A B alot . Remember seeing this and we would take turns being fred . Only had 4 girls but it was FUN stuff 👍

Nice work Pierre! This was filmed for Australian Bandstand at Channel 9 studios in Sydney in March 1961 during Donnie's Australian tour with Johnny Burnette, Bobby Vee, Connie Francis and The Ventures. Donnie also performed his most recent hit "Doll House" in the same appearance.

The dance moves have been left behind in later generations. You don't see that kind of thing very much anymore.
